Apartment KV3

SINGLE FAMILY HOME

The project consists of the conditioning, interior design of a penthouse on two levels.
The attic spaces have the particularity of having sloping walls, concave spaces that, although they favor the creation of intimate and secluded climates, it is also true that they compress the spatial sensation.

Based on this essential aspect of the attic spaces, the greatest possible spatial continuity was proposed on the lower level. To achieve maximum spatial perception.

This concavity makes the exterior walls have sloping walls that denature the binary divisions between floor - wall and wall-ceiling, favoring the perception of certain continuities. It was for this reason that we took this concept of ¨continuity¨ and applied it to the way in which the materials travel (continuity floor / staircase or floor / living room / vertical cladding) in the project and the configuration of ¨pieces¨ (the ceiling tongues) within the project.

Stairs:
Since the project has two levels, the staircase occupied a central place and was treated as such. A deconstructed piece in a lower level that emerges from the floor of cold tones and heavy material and an upper level that is suspended from the upper deck materialized in warm tones with hollowed steps that give it greater lightness.
