FLOATING LABORATORY
ARCHITECTURAL INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
As a result of the collaboration with Fab Lab Argentina in the framework of the WS2014 Floating Fab Lab - Amazonia with the aim of positioning the Lab as a meeting point and union between Amazonian coasts for urban and cultural connection, this floating project of Research and Manufacturing Laboratories was born digital, with an area of 350m2 in its maximum expression.
The morphology arises from a series of floating wooden pavilions integrated radially with an organic design to reduce the local impact given its particular natural location, that is, on the Amazon River between the two coasts of Belén, located in Iquitos, Peru.
